Free access: The Loyalty Magazine Awards are going to the Tower!
New 2016 branding, new venue, exciting ideas
The Loyalty Awards have rebranded as The Loyalty Magazine Awards to make better use of the marketing opportunities and reach of the highly respected and well read title. Entries are now open, and the Call for Entries booklet can be downloaded from www.theloyaltyawards.com.
Loyalty Magazine is the leading journal covering customer retention issues in all their many guises that is produced both as a glossy magazine and online here at www.theloyaltymagazine.com.
As part of the review and rebrand, 2016 will see more emphasis on excitement, fun and games and there have been several changes to the categories.
CEO Annich McIntosh explained: "We received 30% more entries in 2015 and expect a similar increase for 2016 so we have invited a number of new judges to help us, and split the panel in two to ease the workload. We also wanted to reflect the importance of mobile and networks to the way loyalty is working."
Because the mobile category was huge last year, in 2016 there will be two mobile categories:
• Best Use of Mobile within a Loyalty Strategy
• Best Loyalty Programme within the Telecoms Sector, for anyone working within the mobile environment, including network operators, handset manufacturers, mobile service providers, app developers etc.
The other new categories is Smart Cities and Loyalty with entries sought from anyone working in this area, or on M2M, internet of things, blockchain, or any other networked initiative. "It’s really early days for this business sector, so it will be interesting to see who enters, " commented Annich. "We will accept entries in trial or beta as well as in roll-out to reflect the stage the smart cities sector is currently at."
Also new in 2016
Marking our move of venue from The Grosvenor House, Park Lane, to The Tower of London, the organisers plan to make the awards far more interactive and fun, with an emphasis on providing an opportunity for sponsors to demonstrate their new mobile points collecting and redemption, loyalty and payment tools.
CEO of the event, Annich McIntosh explained the move: "The Loyalty Magazine Awards party night is a summer event, which is attended by people from across the EMEA region. We wanted a venue that gives people the opportunity to experience some of the history of ancient London, and also to do justice to our very special event. The Tower of London is all of these things and more."
The Loyalty Awards 2016 will be held in a special marquee in the north moat surrounding the Tower, and under its imposing walls. A number of hotels are situated very close, and it is well placed on the London tube network.
The new twitter handle for the awards is @loyaltyMawards. Once everyone has been notified of the new branding, a new website, at www.theloyaltymagazineawards.com will be launched, but we will give you plenty of notice of this.
