"Customer loyalty is crucial to any business, and it's not going to go way any time soon," says Loyalty Magazine managing editor Annich McIntosh in an interview on BBC Breakfast today (January 19). "What will change is the way that companies persuade customers to be loyal."

The BBC invited Annich to comment on the future of loyalty schemes in light of this week's controversial move by Tesco to cut the redemption level of some Clubcard vouchers from four times to three times their face value.
